Elysian Inferno
A single soul that upon entering the afterlife was split into 2 beings, a warrior and a mage, now must fight through 2 altering versions of the same world simultaneously to piece back together their soul.
I was the Art Director and main Environment Artist on my capstone team's project: Elysian Inferno! I brought the world together from level design sketches, grey boxing, concepting, asset creation, set dressing, and lighting.
Creating a world as big as this (and an alternate world as big as this) in 10 weeks was a huge undertaking and left a few rough corners that I'm eager to continue polishing over the next few weeks, but overall I am really proud of where this game ended up.
It was a great experience showing this game through SCAD at GDC, and it's been amazing to be on a team as talented as this one!
Castus (Upper world) and Malum (Underworld) environment counterparts in the 3 major game areas: the tutorial cave, the mountain pass, and the forge.
